Lineage.  Constituted as 301^st Signal Company on 1 Dec 1942. Inactivated on 13 Oct 1945. Redesignated 101^st Communications Squadron on 24 May 194? Extended federal recognition on 8 Dec 1947. Redesignated 267^th Communications Squadron 1 Jan 1952; 267^th Combat Communications Squadron in 1970s; 267^th Intelligence Squadron on 1 Jul 2016-.

Operations. Provide fighters and bombers with reliable communications. First Air National Guard unit to join the Air Force Space Surveillance Team in Dec 1960. In 1963, became the first ANG unit to field a Doppler Tracking Station. Called upon to support Desert Shield/Desert Storm. Conducted home station activations for Operation Allied Force in 1999 and stood up the Theater Deployable Communications Schoolhouse. Deployed to support the Boston Marathon Terrorist Attack response 15-16 April 2013. Provides a reserve force of Cyber ISR analysts and support staff capable of augmenting and contributing to global Cyber ISR operations. Augmentees support both home-station, nation-wide, and overseas deployments in addition to providing top notch behind the scenes Cyber ISR guidance. The squadron is operationally aligned with the 41^st Intelligence Squadron, 659^th Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Group, 70^th Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Wing, 25^th Air Force, Air Combat Command.
