Redesignated: 148^th Fighter Interceptor Squadron in Jun 1950; 148^th Fighter Bomber Squadron on 1 Nov 1952. Inactivated on 31 Oct 1957. Alloted to AZ ANG and the 148^th Tactical Fighter Training Squadron extended federal recognition on 15 Oct 1985. Redesignated 148^th Fighter Squadron on 15 Mar 1992-.
