Operations. Combat in ETO, 30 Apr, 1944-21 Apr 1945. 136th Fighter Squadron called to active duty as part of the Korean War call-up being assigned to the Maine ANG 101st Fighter-Interceptor Group, being moved to Dow Air Force Base, Maine as an air defense squadron, 1 Mar 1951-1 Dec 1952. The 137th, 138th, and 139th Fighter Squadrons remained under New York State control, their air defense mission was expanded to the entire state, and were re-equipped with Very Long Range F-51H Mustangs capable of extended air defense flights over all of New York State. Called to active duty as part of the Berlin Crisis call-up but remained based at Niagara Falls IAP, 1 Oct 1961-Aug 1962. Called to active duty as part of the Pueblo Crisis call-up, 26 Jan 1968-11 Jun 1969. Worldwide air refueling mission, 1994-2008. Worldwide airlift mission, 2008-2014. Provide training and equip airmen capable of employing the MQ-9 weapon system to its maximum potential in support of worldwide taskings.
