RADIANT FALCON
Radiant Falcon was introduced in 2020 within the USAF’s Air Mobility Command and Air Combat Command. The course is now being implemented across bases under USAFE – Air Force Africa command, and ensures Airmen are ready to receive aircraft affected by chemical, biological, radiological or nuclear threats, and perform decontamination safety techniques.
Radiant Falcon is a comprehensive training event that provides tactics, techniques and procedures to safely recover and relaunch an aircraft that was simulated to have been contaminated by radioactive material.
This training provides all emergency responders, maintainers and aircrew the confidence and resources to safely support the flying mission in the event of potential chemical, biological, radiological or nuclear attacks.
