NATIONAL RECONNAISSANCE OFFICE

The National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) is a member of the United States Intelligence Community and an agency of the United States Department of Defense which is responsible for designing, building, launching, and maintaining America’s intelligence satellites that collect and process signals and imagery to support intelligence, defense, and civil applications.

The NRO’s mission is to provide critical information to policymakers, intelligence analysts, warfighters, and homeland security specialists.
