96^th AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE SQUADRON

The 96^th Aircraft Maintenance Unit/96^th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron assigned to 2^d Maintenance Group, 2^d Bomb Wing stationed at Barksdale AFB, LA, directs all production efforts of maintenance personnel assigned to the B-52H Stratofortress aircraft and equipment and maintenance performance indicators to identify adverse trends and recommend corrective actions. They coordinate with the 96^th Bomb Squadron to maximize pilot training, maintain aircraft fleet health, and execute an annual flying hour program. The 96^th AMU oversees all training of assigned personnel to support peacetime and contingency operations.
