Designated as 2068 Communications Squadron, and organized, on 1 Jan 1963.  Redesignated as: 2068 Information Systems Squadron on 1 Dec 1984; 2068 Communications Squadron on 1 Nov 1986; 834 Communications Squadron on 30 Apr 1991.  Inactivated on 24 Mar 1993.  Redesignated as 834 Cyberspace Operations Squadron on 17 Nov 2015.  Activated on 3 Dec 2015.

Operations. Responsible for defensive cyberspace operations supporting Air Force and DOD missions by providing mission protection, cyberthreat emulation, counter-infiltration, cyber support and cyber readiness.
