82nd AERIAL PORT SQUADRON (AFRC)

Lineage. Constituted as 82 Air Terminal Squadron, and activated, on 22 Mar 1960.  Organized in the Reserve on 8 Jun 1960.  Redesignated as 82 Aerial Port Squadron on 1 Jul 1967. Ordered to Active Service on 13 May 1968. Relieved from Active Duty on 12 Dec 1968.

Operations. Provide cargo processing, aircraft loading, joint inspections (JI), mobility load team supervision, engine running offload (ERO), home station and deployed air terminal operations center (ATOC), airlift control element (ALCE), transportation control unit (TCU), departure airlift control group operations (DACG), and passenger service and command.
