773rd CIVIL ENGINEER SQUADRON (PACAF)
Lineage. Constituted as 73 Aviation Squadron on 17 Aug 1942. Activated on 28 Aug 1942. Disbanded on 30 Apr 1944. Reconstituted, and redesignated, as 773 Civil Engineer Squadron on 14 Dec 2009. Activated on 24 Jun 2010.

Stations. Laredo AAF, TX, 28 Aug 1942-30 Apr 1944. Elmendorf AFB (later, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson), AK, 24 Jun 2010-.
Operations. Provide engineering and emergency response services across the full mission spectrum and is responsible for four flights that undertake the daily maintenance and recovers the installation from natural or man-made disasters.
The Operations flight sustains infrastructure and provides 24/7 customer service including: response to utility outages, typhoon preparation/recovery and pest management.
The Fire and Emergency Services flight responds to emergency calls and manages the scene when there is a fire, medical rescue, or environmental emergency within the base.
The Explosive Ordnance Disposal flight responds to incidents/accidents to eliminate the treats of damaged aircraft countermeasures, old WWII munitions and suspected improvised explosive devices.
The Readiness and Emergency flight assume the role of the installation’s emergency manager. The flight is composed of experts in chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and high-yield explosive incident response/mitigation/training, in-garrison/deployed weapons of mass destruction response, hazardous material incident response, natural disasters and major accidents, and public health emergencies.
