673d AIR BASE WING
The 673rd Air Base Wing ststioned at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, AK, is comprised of a command section, the 673d Comptroller Squadron, and four groups; 673d Mission Support Group, The 673d Medical Group, 673d Civil Engineer Group, and 673d Logistics Readiness Group as the primary organizations responsible for providing installation management functions at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson. Together, with their assigned squadrons, the groups assist the wing with operation and maintenance of the joint base for air sovereignty, combat training, force staging, and throughput operations in support of worldwide contingencies.
The wing supports and enables three AF total-force wings, one Army Brigade and 55 other tenant units to include United States Alaskan Command, Eleventh Air Force, the Alaskan North American Aerospace Defense Command Region, and the 3rd Wing, U.S. Army Alaska, 4/25 Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), USAFR 477th Fighter Group, the Alaska Air National Guard’s 176th Wing, the Pacific Air Forces Regional Support Center, and the 373d Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Group among many others. In addition, the wing provides medical care to over 35,000 joint service members, dependents, Veterans Administration patients and retirees throughout Alaska.
