552nd AIR CONTROL NETWORKS SQUADRON (ACC)

Lineage. Constituted 552 Airborne Computer Squadron on 1 May 1992. Activated on 29 May 1992. Redesignated 552d Computer Systems Squadron on 1 Jul 1994; 552 Air Control Networks Squadron 1 May 2008.

Assignments. 552 Computer (later, 552 Computer Systems) Group, 29 May 1992; 552 Communications Group 8 Aug 2003-.

Stations. Tinker AFB, OK, 29 May 1992-.

Operations. Operates the Cyberspace Vulnerability Assessment/Hunter Weapon System which consists of laptops, sensors and servers that allow Airmen to find, fix, track, target, engage and assess cyber threats. The team uses the system to defend the 552nd ACW’s two major weapon systems, the E-3 Airborne Warning and Control System fleet and the Control and Reporting Centers.
