Redesignated as: 49 Installations Squadron on 1 Feb 1950; 49 Civil Engineering Squadron on 1 Jul 1960. Inactivated on 1 Oct 1981. Activated on 15 Nov 1991. Redesignated as 49 Civil Engineer Squadron on 1 Mar 1994.
