Aircraft. From 1993 tested variety of assigned and loaned aircraft that included C-130, F-15, F-16, T-38, T-39, B-2, C-17, F-22, F-117, B-1B, and U-2. EC-18, 1993-; EC/NKC/C-135, 1993-; MC-130, 1995-.
Operations. The 412th took over flying operations in 1993 for the 412th Test Wing which had transitioned into an objective test wing the previous year. The mission of its nine flight test squadrons encompassed almost every aircraft in the Air Force inventory and consisted of air vehicle development, testing, and evaluation of both manned and unmanned aerospace vehicles for US and foreign governments.
