325th COMMUNICATIONS SQUADRON (ACC)

Lineage. Constituted as 325 Communications Squadron, Fighter, All Weather, on 10 May 1948.  Activated on 9 Jun 1948.  Redesignated as 325 Communications Squadron on 20 Jan 1950.  Inactivated on 6 Feb 1952.  Redesignated as 325 Operations Squadron on 20 Jun 1955.  Activated on 18 Aug 1955. Discontinued, and inactivated, on 1 Apr 1963.   Redesignated as 325 Communications Squadron on 1 Apr 1991.  Activated on 16 Apr 1991.

Assignments. 325 Air Base Group, 9 Jun 1948-6 Feb 1952.  325 Fighter Group (Air Defense), 18 Aug 1955; 325 Air Base Group, 18 Oct 1956; 325 Fighter Wing (Air Defense), 1 Feb 1961-1 Apr 1963.  USAF Air Defense Weapons Center, 16 Apr 1991; 325 Support (later, 325 Mission Support) Group, 1 Sep 1991-.

Stations. Hamilton AFB, CA, 9 Jun 1948; Moses Lake AFB, WA, 26 Nov 1948; McChord AFB, WA, 23 Apr 1950-6 Feb 1952.  McChord AFB, WA, 18 Aug 1955-1 Apr 1963.  Tyndall AFB, FL, 16 Apr 1991-.

Operations. The primary cyber integrator to manage the unprecedented and ongoing rebuild and modernization of Tyndall’s physical infrastructure and directly supports 19 associate units including Headquarters Air Forces Northern & Air Forces Space and the 601st Air Operations Center; along with the Air Force Civil Engineer Center, 53d Weapons Evaluation Group, 337th Air Control Squadron and Air Battle Management Schoolhouse, 823d REDHORSE Squadron and Silver Flag training site.
