314th TRAINING SQUADRON (AETC)

Lineage. Designated as 3485 School Squadron and activated on 1 Oct 1986. Redesignated as: 3485 Technical Training Squadron on 1 Feb 1992; 314 Technical Training Squadron on 15 Sep 1992; 314 Training Squadron on 1 Apr 1994.

Assignments. 3480 Student Group, 1 Oct 1986; 3480 Technical Training Group (later 391 Technical Training Group; 17 Technical Training Group; 17 Training Group), 1 Feb 1992; 517 Training Group, 25 Aug 2009-.

Stations. Ft Devens AI, MA, 1 Oct 1986; Ft Huachuaca AI, AZ, 15 Jan 1993; Presidio of Monterey, CA, 1 Nov 2007-.

Operations. The 314th Training Squadron, located at the Defense Language Institute-Foreign Language Center, trains more than two thousand Air Force enlisted students in foreign language skills across two geographically separated locations every year and continuously develops ideal training methods and processes in order to build the best joint linguist warfighter.
