Lineage. Established as The Military Aircraft Storage and Disposition Center, and activated, on 7 Oct 1964. Organized on 1 Feb 1965. Redesignated: Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Center on 1 Oct 1985; 309 Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group on 2 May 2007.
Assignments. Air Force Logistics Command, 7 Oct 1964; Air Force Materiel Command, 1 Jul 1992; 309 Maintenance Wing, 2 May 2007 (attached to Ogden Air Logistics Complex on 12 Jul 2012) and assigned on 1 Oct 2012-.
Stations. Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ, 8 Feb 1965-.
Operations. Provides critical aerospace regeneration, maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO), logistics, aircraft preservation, storage, and support services, including aircraft regeneration, restoring aircraft to flying status, parts reclamation and aircraft disposal preparation and depot-level maintenance as an adjunct to the USAF Sustainment Center’s three Air Logistics Complexes.
