Reconstituted, and consolidated (19 Sep 1985), with the following units: 23 Troop Carrier Squadron (which was constituted on 11 Nov 1944; activated on 21 Nov 1944; inactivated on 7 Sep 1946); 23 Helicopter Squadron (which was constituted on 24 Feb 1956; activated on 9 Jul 1956; inactivated on 8 Jan 1958); and 23 Tactical Air Support Squadron (which was constituted, and activated, on 8 Apr 1966; organized on 15 Apr 1966; inactivated on 22 Sep 1975; activated on 30 Nov 1975).
