The 22d Surveillance Squadron assigned to 709th Surveillance and Analysis Group stationed at Patrick AFB, FL, operates Air Force Technical Applications Center (AFTAC) 24/7/365 operations center, providing front-line, persistent and state-of-the-art surveillance to detect, identify and locate nuclear and seismic events worldwide. The squadron’s ballistic missile technical collection mission provides data on foreign ballistic missile tests and supports the Missile Defense Agency.
