Lineage. Constituted 11th Air Corps Ferrying Squadron on 18 Feb 1942. Activated on 16 Apr 1942. Redesignated 11th Ferrying Squadron on 12 May 1943. Disbanded on 1 Apr 1944. Reconstituted, and consolidated (19 Sep 1985) with the 11th Aeromedical Transport Squadron, Light, which was constituted on 18 Oct 1956. Activated on 8 Nov 1956. Redesignated: 11th Aeromedical Transport Squadron on 25 Jul 1964; 11th Aeromedical Airlift Squadron on 12 Jan 1966; 11th Airlift Squadron on 1 Oct 1993.
