Reconstituted, and consolidated on 19 Sep 1985 with the following units: 6th Liaison Squadron (constituted 6th Liaison Squadron on 3 Nov 1945; activated on 10 Dec 1945; inactivated on 31 Mar 1946; redesignated 6th Liaison Flight on 7 Oct 1949; activated on 27 Oct 1949; inactivated on 8 Sep 1952; redesignated 6th Liaison Squadron on 8 Sep 1952. Operations. Compiled aerial photographs into aeronautical charts under HQ AAF supervision. Performed courier, liaison, and light transport service for Headquarters, U.S. Forces, European Theater. Called to active duty as part of the Korean War call-up. Provided courier service, light transport of cargo and passengers, search and rescue augmentation, aerial spraying, and disaster relief. Participated in exercises, flew flood relief missions in Louisiana, 15-30 May 1953, and conducted AFROTC flying training at Alexandria AFB, Jun-Aug 1953. Furnished airborne command post for the Commander-In-Chief, Atlantic (C1NCLANT). Frequently deployed aircraft and crews to Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, Iceland, England, North Africa, the Azores, Puerto Rico, Panama, and even to the Pacific in support of CINCLANT.
