USS Winston S. Churchill (DDG-81) is a USN Arleigh Burke-class destroyer, the 31st destroyer of her class. She is named after British Prime Minister Sir Winston Churchill. Construction began on 7 May 1998, and is the 18th ship of this class to be built at Bath Iron Works in Bath, Maine. She was launched and christened on 17 Apr 1999, commissioned during a ceremony at Town Point Park in Norfolk, VA on 10 Mar 2001.
