Refueled aircraft participating in the Grenada rescue mission, Oct-Nov 1983. Aerial refueling by squadron played a significant role in successful Operation Desert Storm’s air war in 1991. Performed aerial refuelings for bombers, airlift and fighter aircraft as part of Tanker Task Force (TTF) around the world, 1992-1995. On 1 Oct 1996, relocated with aerial refueling aircraft from Malmstrom AFB, MT to MacDill AFB, FL. Since 2002, air refueled fighter aircraft providing security for southeastern United States.
