Lineage. Constituted as 32 Air Base Group (Reinforced) on 20 Nov 1940. Activated on 15 Jan 1941. Redesignated: 32 Air Base Group on 6 Nov 1941; 32 Service Group on 13 Jun 1942. Disbanded on 11 Jun 1945. Reconstituted, redesignated 732 Expeditionary Mission Support Group, and converted to provisional status on 14 Jan 2004; 732 Expeditionary Support Group in 2005; 732 Air Expeditionary Group in 2007. Inactivated on 12 Nov 2010.

Operations. Provided oversight and advocacy for Air Force personnel spread across four squadrons who were tactically assigned to U.S. Army and Marine units throughout Iraq which included security forces, civil engineers, lawyers, truck drivers, interrogators, military working dog teams, intelligence specialists, and airfield managers that were under tactical, or day to day, control of Army and Marine units, while administratively and operationally controlled by the 732d AEG.
