Operations. Called to active duty as part of the Korean War call-up, 1951-1952. Air Defense of Midwestern US. Flew 54 combat missions during Operation Just Cause in Panama. Deployed to Incirlik AB, Turkey for Operation Provide Comfort and enforced the northern “No Fly” zone of Iraq from Dec 1993 to Jan 1994 and Operation Northern Watch, in 1995 and 2002. Participated in Operation Southern Watch based out of Kuwait in 1998 and Saudi Arabia in 2001. In addition to the unit’s ongoing tasking as part of the Air Expeditionary Force (AEF), unit members were also activated to support Operation Noble Eagle within the United States along with Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom.
