122nd AIR SUPPORT OPERATIONS SQUADRON
The 122nd Air Support Operations Squadron, Louisiana Air National Guard is located at Camp Beauregard, LA, whose mission is to advise US Army and Army National Guard commanders on the capabilities and employment of air power, provides terminal attack control for Close Air Support (CAS) missions, ensure its synchronization into the ground commanders battle plan, and provide terminal attack control for close air support missions and provide quick response emergency communications to the state headquarters in support of one Army Guard Division and two Army Guard Brigades with Air Liaison Officers (ALOs) and Tactical Air Control Party (TACP) specialists (1C4X0s).
The 122nd ASOS also establishes and maintains mobile communication voice and data network anywhere, on short notice, in any conditions providing the Governor, TAG, Assistant Adjutant General-Air, and JFHQ LAANG with clear lines of information during state or national emergency.
